Imogen’s & Callum’s June wedding - so that was it!
We might be headed into winter, but this joyful summer wedding reminds us of all that is great about our Tuscan summer!
Imogen and Callum had an intimate wedding with just 50 of their friends and family, with local food and seasonal touches that embraced the farm venue!
I loved the care that the family put to make this special day truly unforgettable, from the gowns and details sewn by Imogen’s mum, to the heartfelt ceremony, officiated by Callum’s sister
I hand the floor over to the magical photos of Due su Due and to Imogen’s words!
We have been asked "why Italy" so many times…
We love the food, wine, weather and the scenery - so that was it!
I had also always dreamed of getting married abroad, and Italy is one of the places we have been to most as a couple, and love it every time.
We chose Il Rigo, despite having never been to Tuscany before, we loved the intimate nature, the setting, the ethos and the home they have created. My mum loved the flowers too which was a bonus!
Getting ready
My wedding dress was designed and made by my wonderful mother, we were inspired by Spanish brands (especially Rosa Clara and Alma Novia).
I wanted something that made me feel like a princess to walk down the aisle, but that was light enough in the heat, and then something that I could dance all night in, so having the overskirt was perfect to tick both boxes! I will never forgot the look on Callum's face when I stripped off the overskirt during the couple's portraits!
Symbolic Ceremony
The ceremony under the pines was Callum's favourite moment (especially when the pine cone decided to drop mid vows!). It made it even more special that his sister officiated and could tell so many stories and anecdotes to make it personal.
