Natalia & Kristof - a communion of artistic hearts

We are overjoyed to share the incredible journey of Natalia and Kris, whose wedding was a celebration of love, art, and the timeless beauty of Italy.
Their story is one of deep connection, thoughtful planning, and unforgettable moments.
From choosing the picturesque Val d'Orcia, where they got engaged, to curating every detail with a personal and artistic touch, their day was nothing short of magical.
In this post, Natalia and Kris reflect on their wedding experience at Il Rigo, offering a glimpse into their heartfelt celebration and the memories they’ll cherish forever.

We’re so grateful to have been a part of their special day, and we hope their words inspire couples on their own wedding journey!

First of all - we knew exactly what we wanted!

Small, intimate, family gathering to celebrate more than 10 years of our love.

We dreamed about a quiet place in the countryside surrounded by nature. We love Italy, we come there almost every summer. We wanted to bring our families to spend the holiday together abroad and give them the glimpse of what we admire the most in this beautiful country. Val d'Orcia was the place where we got engaged, so Il Rigo felt like a perfect location for the wedding celebration! Kris did a ton of research, compared so many venues, but only Il Rigo's esthetics and ethic of running agriturismo matched what we had in our minds, and after the first call to Luisa we were sure that it was the right choice.

We are both artists and immediately we could feel a strong connection with Luisa and Matthias. Through their work, passion and love of art, we could feel that they are artistic souls too. Everything that Luisa proposed was exactly what we wanted, so we didn't have to worry about anything.

We were lucky enough to visit Il Rigo one year before our wedding. It was the greatest possibility to fall in love with the venue, views, food, vine and all the members of Il Rigo's family, so coming back there one year later already felt like coming back home.

Welcome day

We also had an incredibly emotional moment one day before the wedding, when one of our best friends played a beautiful piano concerto in stunning Lorenza’s house in San Quirico. We cried so much and it was one of a kind life experience.

Wedding day - getting ready

My wedding dress was designed by me and made by Joanna Gibzińska "Giba".

After many days searching for perfect wedding dress inspiration, I suddenly asked myself: "In which dress style do I truly feel like myself?" Since that day, I had no doubts that I wanted my dress to be simple and just expose what I like the most about myself. I tried to break the simplicity with a vintage accent in my veil and match my future husband's white linen vintage suit. Due to our occupation, the biggest Opera House in the country is our work place. This huge institution has so many departments that can be very useful while preparing for a wedding. That's why the tailor's department helped with creating my spanish style lace veil and made sure that Kris's suit and shirts were perfectly fitted.

Our wedding invitations were designed by Natalia. Each of the invitations was kept in the color palette of Tuscany, personalised, hand painted and almost all of them were sent by post to our friend and family.

For many years Karolina Gmurczyk has been photographing very special moments for us, we are great friends, she used to be a dancer as well, we understand each other perfectly so immediately we knew that she would be a right choice. She truly is a photographer of our life!

The best moment was when we realized that our guests were having so much fun, that they even stopped looking at us!
They were loud and crazy. We didn’t skip even one song on the dancefloor! Afterwards they said that this whole experience was truly perfect in its own imperfection.

It was such a special day, that it is impossible to choose one favorite moment!

We felt so good all the time, but especially we will remember our beautiful ceremony and a few moments when we realized that our guests were having so much fun, that they even stopped looking at us, when we were all taking pictures during the sunset or during delicious dinner. They were loud and crazy. We didn't skip even one song on the dance floor! Afterwards they said that this whole experience was truly perfect in its own imperfection.

All we would say to the couples getting married is to go full out, do whatever you want to do and don't care about anything else than the person you want to marry. There will be many obstacles, but try not to focus on them so much. It has to be the best time of your life. Remember, that all of the guests are coming there for you, not the other way around. They will enjoy it as much as you do! Focus on the person that you love and try not to even blink , because everything happens so fast and you don't want to miss any of it!
