Manuela&Simon - very sweet little things
Simon and Manuela chose Il Rigo after being here as our guest some years ago.
They were looking for a place to spend some time with their family and this wedding had so much the taste of a family reunion.
Everybody was totally relaxed and happy. It was one of these weddings where only very important things count, and the rest is just a frame for it! And I loved it!
We hosted their symbolic ceremony on the terrace. The ceremony was celebrated by the groom's brother and the family actively participated to organize it and to decorate the terrace with me. The bride sister sang a song for them.
They asked me to keep things very simple for this intimate wedding ceremony: no white carpet, no solemn decorations.... just two olive trees, some jars with flowers from the garden and the landscape of Valdorcia!
One of the groom's wishes was to prepare the bridal bouquet.
Traditionally the bouquet should be the last bunch of flowers that the groom give to his beloved before she becomes his wife. And he did it! He drove to the garden of Puscina and collected there some flowers to make his bunch.
After the ceremony they met in the courtyard for a toast and then they reached the tables that we prepared for them.
You already know my addiction to wild flowers, leaves and wild berries. I'm happy to be able to pass down my love for all the gifts we can find in the nature, in every season!
No one decided which colour should have this table setting! But this September wedding was shining with warm, embracing tones of orange, yellow, dark green and earthly brown.
