Artigianato Toscano - lost handicraft traditions and where to find them

Our region has a centenary tradition of arts and craftsmanship, rooted in our territory and lifestyle since the Renaissance.
Painters, ceramicists, metalworkers, goldsmiths, leather workers and many others represent today the backbone of our culture, and contribute to keep alive the true soul of the territory.

In the last 10 years, Tuscany has seen a drastic drop in the number of artisans and tradesman.
The economic crisis, the pandemic, the increase in raw materials and the tax burden have especially effected the smaller business and craft shops.

As hosts, we wish to do our part, sharing contacts and addressees and inviting travelers to make ethical choices, supporting the local economy and the ancient skills.
