Daniela&Max - Getaway in the Tuscan golden sunlight

There is no better antidote to winter greyness than looking through old wedding photos, delving into the memories of those summer nights and enjoying the illusion of that healing sunlight!

Daniela and Max's wedding is a collection of summer vibes and I'm so happy to share it with you in this cold week of November. Without a doubt, July offers the most iconic view of our hills, with rolling golden fields of ripe wheat shimmering in the wind!

I often wonder about the power of Tuscany to bring people together. So I asked Daniela why they opted for a destination wedding.

We love traveling and getting to know different cultures. And we loved the agriturismo vacations we spent in the last years: Sardinia, Sicily, Lake Garda,... As you, Luisa, were also the first person to answer our request, we knew pretty much immediately that this is going to be our wedding venue

In love with Daniela's flowers

One of my favorite moments was when I saw the beautiful bouquet and flower hairband and instantly fell in love with them. Especially because it was the very first hairband you did for a wedding!

These are the most meaningful words to hear!
Growing flowers and arranging them for our brides has become one of my favorite things, an act of love and devotion towards this bounteous land of ours that delivers such splendid and unique flowers, each of which has a special meaning for me!
Knowing that our flowers will be an important part of what people will remember and carry with them just makes my soul soar!

I had to "study" and prepare myself as Daniela asked me to coordinate a matching hair-band for her, and I've never done one before!

She wished for a purple and white palette with olive leaves, and I selected dark and white pompom dahlias and some burgundy achillea for the band, and big, showy decorative dahlias with some wild carrots, purple cornflowers and pink baby breath for the bouquet. Of course, all the flowers and greens were foraged from our own garden!

Getting married in a little medieval village

Daniela and Max got married in the public hall of San Quirico, the magnificent Palazzo Chigi. The palace, a beautiful building from the XVII century has a tiny baroque theater where it is possible to celebrate the wedding ceremony! I find this room is a real gem, well worth discovering!

After the ceremony, they prepared a special toast in front of the public hall!

A photo shooting amidst the hills

Few km away from us, the Chapel of Vitaleta is an absolutely ideal setting for some romantic photos, just before the dinner starts!

Reception in the heart of Valdorcia

Daniela and Max fell for each other and for Val d'Orcia as well! Once back from the wedding, we organized the aperitivo on the panoramic terrace, overlooking the hills.

For the dinner table, a runner of seasonal flowers, matching the full colors of the sunset light: dahlias, wild carrots, olive branches and zinnias, the queen of last summer's garden!

We loved that all of our guests were so relaxed and had such a vacation feeling that this was the most relaxed wedding we’ve ever attended – even if this was our own wedding!

Another favorite moment of the wedding : the wedding dance in the courtyard surrounded by the cozy light of sparklers.
