Serena and Simone - the warmth we need

Some days you just wish for summer time!

You wish it would be party time again, when everyone is light-hearted and joyful, the sun shines, the flowers bloom and the dining table is full of mouthwatering delicacies, freshly prepared!

That’s one of these days, so let’s go back to last September, following the footsteps of Serena and Simone, during their wedding day, from the preparation, the civil ceremony in the Italian garden of San Quirico, the Horti Leonini, their stunning wedding table, to the rustic-chic chocolate wedding cake, that crowned the end of a beautiful, happy day!

Ceremony at the Italian garden Horti Leonini

Name me a better location for a civil ceremony, than the Horti Leonini in San Quirico!

I doubt you can find it! Under the gentle shade of the holm oaks, surrounded by glimpses of the red rooftops of the village peeping out from the stone city wall, it’s the perfect setting for a celebration to remember forever!

We decorated the aisle with simple bunches of seasonal flowers, to enhance the architectural beauty of the garden, that doesn’t need that much embellishment, to me!
The radiant beauty of Serena, with her lace long-sleeves dress and her natural bouquet, was the best decoration possible!

I remember having several conversation with Serena about the bouquet, as she wasn’t completely sure about the style of it! I’m so glad she ended up picking a natural and seasonal mix of our flowers #flowersofilrigo, that I combined with dried poppy pods and soft grasses.

Dinner reception

The atmosphere during the aperitif was so relaxed! Thank also to the “Flame Parade”, a band of talented young musician, that Serena and Simone hired for the occasion!

Music is a very important component of a wedding, we know that very well! That’s why we put particular care selecting the bands that we recommend in our bride’s book! We choose groups that would fit the spaces of Il Rigo, the intimate and relaxed atmosphere of our parties and we go for nice and kind people!

After the aperitif the dinner was served, on this stunning table!

The combination of this pink and pastel flowers and the delicate dried grasses simply stole my heart and watching at it now soothes the soul! I must say the great pictures of Studio Magenta perfectly captured the colours of that summer night, and you feel transported in that dreamy setting!

Serena and Simone went for a not fully traditional menu, for their wedding dinner: a Chianina beef tartare, as starter, a white meat home made lasagne and melanzane alla Pamigiana as main!

The dinner ended with a bang with this rustic triple chocolate cake, decorated with edible dahlias and berries!
